Bidra med feedbackFollowing the Cafe Nomad coffee map, I found the stairs to be quite steep. After wandering around a bit, I finally spotted a small door. Taking two or three steps up the staircase, one of the owners, Chen Yingjun, immediately greeted us with a warm welcome. The space is filled with old-fashioned charm; the light fixtures, bookshelves, and window sills all make for perfect photo opportunities. The owners are friendly and welcoming; even though we only ordered a drink, they took the time to show us around the place. Chen Yingjun's dog, the shop mascot, is also incredibly adorable. Overall, if I ever get the chance to work outside again, I would love to come back here! And yes, those stairs are really steep!
The owner, Will, is a very creative person! In Taipei, standalone two-story old buildings are becoming increasingly rare. The area around Datong District and Guizui Street is soon to be demolished for redevelopment, and the steep stairs still preserve the memory of the original city. I hope everyone can come and witness its beauty together before the changes come!
