Rua Thai - Zermatt

Whoever thinks is it’s an expensive restaurant isn’t for you because importing authentic thai ingredients from Thailand to zermatt is expensive and would raise the price a bit. Other than that I’m literally from Thailand and can confirm that some dishes taste better than from the motherland because the chef is thai. Additionally the food is served in large portions and the decor looks great. Those who complain of not enough sunlight inside the restaurant you should get more sunlight during the day so that you don’t need anymore during dinner time. Desert is also good cuz the ice-cream comes with 2 scoops and freshly cut juicy sumptuous amazingly delicious fruits such as ripe yellow mangoes and succulent forest berries. Finally The waitress that served us not only made friendly small talk but also was so kind that it made the atmosphere in the restaurant almost like home. and I assure you the restaurant didn’t bribe me to write this at all no cap.

The water is 9.00 per bottle enough for a few glasses. Green curry w chicken is 45 per order Service was lovely. I am 48 years old and that’s the most I’ve ever paid for green curry in my entire life.. iItwas tasty though!

We had dinner as family of six people. The food was good but it was overpriced for Thai food. Service staff were friendly. We should have checked the menu before being seated as we probably would have gone somewhere else due to the price.

I ordered a lot of dishes. Most of them were delicious except Madsaman. Price was considered very expensive if compare to Thai resturant I went there all over Switzerland. The most interesting for me is this is the first place which charged even for a glass bottle of tap water with CHF 5.00. After I asked they gave discount and end up with CHF3.00 per bottle.

This is a Restaurant which houses both Japanese and Thai food in two separate sections. We had toe at in the Thai section which was closed as the Japanese section was full. Food was good service was fine -- what took off the charm was the waiters and others bunched around this closed section and thus it was a noisy and casual atmosphere which got greated.
