Filmore Union - York

Given the usual standards of Essen and Coffee Station, this was a refreshing change. Yes, it is still overpriced, but try to find gluten-free food if you are in a hurry usually impossible, so it is good to find somewhere catering for various nutritional requirements. Cake are quite generous also size

Great little coffee spot with an 'organic ' vibe inside York Station (it sits below the bridge alongside platform 5). The coffee is really good and the various snacks and treats are all excellent (especially the brownies). It 's not obvious but you can sit inside too for when it 's a bit cold on the platform.

Really great cakes. Turn down the water temp for the coffee because it's burning the coffee! It comes out very bitter (which is a sign of burnt or bad quality beans)

Really good coffee and nice staff but why shut off the customer wifi? Fortunately Starbucks has customer wifi but I'd much prefer coming here. Restore your wifi Fillmore so I can give you the 5 star review you deserve!

What seemed like under trained staff (who weren 't using a thermometer for milk) refused to do me a flat white at 120•F 50•C saying they weren 't allowed and could only do milk to specified temperatures (clearly nonsense as they weren 't using a thermometer) Said I would go to costa instead, no problem there. I would suggest if you 're running a hipster coffee and food place, you train your staff.
