Bidra med feedbackWe started with the vegetable kofte and beetroot hummus, and the flavor combinations were fantastic. Personally, I felt the kofte could have used a bit more cooking, as it had a slight raw taste. However, the beetroot hummus was absolutely delicious. For the second course, we had the Iraqi pilaf topped with crispy onions, roasted butternut squash, and tahini cream. The only word I can use to describe it is FAULTLESS—it couldn't have been better. As for dessert, I couldn't quite grasp what was happening with the dish itself, but I really enjoyed the vanilla coconut labneh that accompanied it. Overall, I had a wonderful time and would definitely return to try different dishes!
Every time I pass by, I'm captivated by the incredible aroma. I adore the rustic atmosphere of this place and their menu, which is simple yet beautifully crafted. The shakshuka is outstanding—a fantastic option for brunch!
The service was friendly and attentive, especially when I had questions about the menu items. There was a bit of a wait, but that’s to be expected during lunch on the weekend. Overall, it's a lovely place, and I would definitely return.
Just a quick tip, you have to order at the counter first before you are seated, which was kind of confusing at first. My friend and I came here for lunch and it was pretty busy. She got the millennial bagel and I got the matakana organic eggs (scrambled) with smoked salmon. The artisan bread was really delicious, I think it was sourdough and it was super crunchy and fresh. The eggs were pretty average as I felt they were too buttery for my liking (which is beneficial if you like buttery eggs since it leaks onto the bread so it soaks up the butter). The smoked salmon was delicious as well.
Delicious breakfast options. Loved the mushroom omlette with truffle oil. Omelette was fluffy and light, could really taste the truffle throughout. Great way to start the day. Great place for breakfast, coffee and lunch. Highly recommend.
