The best three things this Restaurant has going for it...... 1. It 's on the Susquehanna River with Gorgeous Views. 2. It 's set up in The Old John Wright Factory Building. 3. The Pizza Patio. There too many negatives to list... Sure they came up with fancy name 's that sound great, but the food is mediocre at best. The staff is a untrained, uncoordinated, and visibly lacks pride in there jobs. The only person who really seemed to care about her job was the water girl. The worst parts of the meal,,,, Pasta wasn 't cooked through, the rice was overcooked, shell in the crab cakes, pork belly had a strange ammonia smell, and the steak was gritty. Oh and I didn 't mention that everything is WAY OVERPRICED!!! I know that there are going to be people who read this and say well it was just probably a one time thing. Nope I 've tried to hold out on this review, because I would love to see this restaurant succeed. Tonight we spent over six hundred dollars, and after paying thousands of dollars here, it 's a wrap. They should be on a episode of Kitchen Nightmares!!! They shouldn 't even call it The John Wright Restaurant anymore, drop restaurant and call it The John Wright Wedding Venue and Cocktail Bar. You know the old saying,,,,, Too many hands in the pot spoils the sauce . Message to The Owner, At one point in time this place was great, but now you can visibly see, taste, and feel that this place is going downhill. You got too fancy, too pricey, and the staff is too lazy. I hope you figure it out, but I will not be recommending this place to anyone. Parking: There 's a large parking lot. Wonderful cocktails and quality comfort food. The crab nachos were a triumph! (We only had appetizers and drinks) Parking: Huge parking lot. Boat launch there too!
