Bidra med feedbackThis restaurant is nothing spectacular, but it meets the usual Costa standard. There is ample seating available both indoors and outdoors if you prefer to dine away from your vehicle.
I was already in the car when I found out wrong coffee was given, so couldn’t return. Contacted costa customer services to be told a generic “sorry”. When a take out coffee is £3.90, I genuinely think it should be right. Surely it’s not that difficult!
The restaurant was busy but not excessively so. The staff seemed frantic and lacked supervision. One female staff member was rude to a customer, but it was her mistake. It appeared as though the restaurant was being run by inexperienced individuals. There were only paper cups available as opposed to cups and saucers, and the staff claimed the dishwasher wasn't working but seemed unwilling to collect used dishes due to the rush. Additionally, the prices were very high. As someone who frequents Costa Coffee often, this was not a pleasant visit.
The restaurant is small with a Burger King and Costa Coffee, along with other amenities. The food was typical chain fare, but priced higher due to its location on the motorway. The toilets were not well-maintained, particularly the cubicles which had a strong odor.
Stopped for a break on journey home. Always have loved a Costa but this one was diabolical! Took them 15 minutes to put our order on till as they kept messing up and then 4 attempts to get our drinks right. 2 were still wrong so just made the comment can’t wait to get back to our local one! Coffees and chocolates were warm rather than hot and tasteless Staff definitely need retraining in customer service and barista skills Next time will plod on to the next services
