Bidra med feedbackI can't believe I've been to this place for high tea five times already - once in 2018 for their Spring High Tea, and four times this year. I just can't resist a themed high tea! Petal Met Sugar is a charming little cake, coffee, and florist shop located in the Woolloomooloo area. You can easily walk there from St James station, just pass by St Mary's Cathedral and you'll be there in 5 minutes. Their range of high teas never fails to impress me.
Bought Scoopon voucher for this high tea on my birthday. It was the prettiest brunch i’ve ever had. All the pastries were not too sweet (swipe to the left):<br/ scones with yuzu jam scones was crumbly outside and fluffy inside, just it should be<br/ choux; when I ate the choux i already half full so i didnt notice how its taste like <br/ earl grey pond; strong earl grey and not too sweet with smooth texture <br/ green tea tiramisu; strong matcha and not too sweet as well <br/ salted caramel cronut; it could say it’s my fav so far. Firstly I was underestimate it would be taste so sweet like some cronuts i had before. But it’s not anyway. <br/ Our hight tea package was included savoury stuff as well; salmon toasties (not a fan of sourdough so i didnt eat it), potato bread with scrambled egg (average taste but i liked the potato bread it’s very fluffy). <br/ Anyway i was bit irritated with the coffee, I thought because we bought voucher so it came in small cup. It’s not enough for my hubby, so I tried to buy another 2 cuppa, and still...it came in small cuppa
Such a beautiful place for a cake and coffee. All the cakes are presented so nicely and delicately. Matcha latte was very nice. Seating is limited though so may need to wait for a seat
During our visit to Sydney, we stopped by this charming dessert house. The cakes were elegant, well-crafted, and tasty. The coffee was also excellent, thanks to a skilled barista. Just a heads-up, there is limited outdoor seating at this location.
I've been meaning to visit Petal Met Sugar for years now and finally got the chance yesterday.I wish we'd booked for their spring high tea because seeing it on other tables; god it looked gorgeous. Instead, we ordered scrambled eggs on toast and a double cheese pastry. The double cheese pastry was delicious and the coffee average.
