Harvest At The Lodge - Woodstock

During our holiday in Woodstock, Cleveland, I was excited about choosing a restaurant for our last night there. We drove to the restaurant, and while on the way, I checked out their website and was impressed by their appealing menu. They also offer lovely small cabins for accommodation, so we decided to make a reservation. This cozy little hidden gem did not disappoint! I had the ricotta with house-made apple jam, topped with pistachios, and served with warm, crusty bread slices for dipping. For my main course, I had the steak, which was cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this place! We will definitely make it a stop on our future trips to Woodstock.

Food was creative and really palate pleasing. The prix fixe dinner had a good variety of choices And it was priced for guaranteed return visits.

We were looking to try a new restaurant as New World Home Cooking closed. Harvest looked like a really nice place, quaint and quiet. The reviews were great. We arrived for our 7:00p reservation. We were seated, the waiter was friendly. He took our order and brought our drinks. We then sat for over an hour waiting for our meal. When we asked what was taking so long as we only ordered burgers we were told it was a small kitchen. Tired of waiting we asked for our check and meal to be wrapped. At that point the owner came over. He apologized and said they over booked that evening and that if we came back we could have dinner on him. Disappointed we left and ate our dinner at home. It was not very good. We won’t be going back.

This visit turned out to be a very pleasant surprise. I knew it was farm to table so I was expecting high quality food, my expectations were met on that! What I didn't know is that the chef is known (and great for that matter! and the amount of food and deal you get for your money is fantastic! The portions are large, the prefix is an absolute steal! You'll definitely bring food home. The service was very good (even though it was our waitress's 2nd day on the job she was great . The vibe and ambience is very authentic to the feel of the area a nicely decor'd interior, warm, and cute. There was a live piano player with great skills and a nice personality. I'd recommend this 100%!
