Delicious, healthy cooked meals that helped me eat again on the way clean!
If you crave Middle Eastern cuisine, Paramount is an easy choice. So many delicious choices! For our monthly get-together, it was a no-brainer! I had the Fattoush salad BBQ beef skewers. So tasty! The beef was perfectly done...juicy and tender. Awesome hummus! The salad was perfectly dressed. For dessert, I couldn’t resist the baklava. Simply mouth-watering! Such courteous, gracious service! Thanks, Zeynep! Highly recommendable!
A few of us decided to eat at this relatively new restaurant. The place is bright, clean and the service was efficient and friendly. We all had the same selection for lunch. First of all the home made pita bread was amazing, nice and warm and irresistible. The appetizers consisted of lentil soup made with fresh vegetables and spices. Concurrent to this we savored the delicious manakeesh made with zaatar. We all totally enjoyed the vegetable option shawarma with plant based options, pickles, onions , parsley, garlic and spices. What a treat! The food here is pretty close to authentic and it is worth the visit.
We were tired of mediocre restaurants before or after going to see a movie at Vaughan Colossus. This time, we decided to try Paramount, located across the street on the north side of Highway 7, facing BMO. The food was delicious, with options including $9 shawarma, salads (such as beet-candied pecan and halloumi cheese), and shish taouk chicken skewers. Paramount offers covered parking at 7777 Weston, the first driveway north of the bus shelter at the major intersection of Highway 7 and Weston. This location of Paramount is smaller and more casual than others we have visited, which we preferred. It has a bright and airy atmosphere that is family-friendly and accommodating for vegetarians and those with gluten-free diets. Fresh pita baskets were brought to our table promptly and free of charge. We skipped the lentil soup as it was hot outside, but enjoyed our main dishes, including $12 wraps. For dessert, we had the cream cheese pancake called Knifeh and Arabic ice cream. The prices were reasonable. Everything was easily accessible from the parking garage, including the washrooms located near the prayer room. The restaurant did not have baby change tables, but booster chairs were available. Our Southeast Asian waitress provided excellent service, accommodating small groups in booths and adjusting tables and chairs for larger families. Parking at the Centro tower is usually paid by credit card, but we were lucky to visit on a weekend when parking was free. We plan to return to Paramount next time we see a movie at Colossus.
