Food was good along with the service. But when I got the check they added 18% gratuity. I can understand for parties over 6 but it was just myself and the wife. You add it automatically I won't return. This will ruin their business and I hope it does

I've been to a lot of small town bars, and a majority of them are rather run down (usually doesn't effect the taste of the food! . This restaurant is not one of those. It is very well taken care of, in great shape and very clean. Our table had chicken fried chicken, sirloin steak, and grilled cheese with gems (tator tots . The steak was tasty, and the chicken seemed to be hand breaded and very yummy. The mashed potatoes and gravy, while not bad, definitely tasted and looked pre-made. The gems (tator-tots tasted funky... like cooked in old grease, maybe. Overall, it was a good experience, and we are impressed with the atmosphere and service.

Stopped in on a Wednesday afternoon and experienced great food and great service. We'll definitely be back!

Really nice bar, just very out of the way. Which is part of the charm.

I want to write a good review of Nowhere Special; however, I cannot. We traveled here on a recommendation from Lincoln. While my food was good, my friend's rib eye steak was the fattiest and nastiest piece of steak I've ever seen served. Before you say that rib eye is supposed to have some fat, hear me out. I travel for work and have eaten steaks from Texas to North Dakota and this was worst of them. I wouldn't feed it to a dog and it is supposed their signature dish, its even on the sign on the building. After attempting to eat the little bit of meat that was on the steak (about 15-20% was edible) my friend and I told the server it was terrible. She even asked if we wanted a box for the blubbery pieces of left overs. Then came the worst part, the manager, who told us that since the steak had been cut up, she couldn't see the marbling and there was nothing she could do. News flash: if the steak is 80% large, thick, flabby fat, the marbling won't make it into a piece that should be served. I will not return and will recommend the same to all others. This place is a joke. I've had better cuts of steak at cheap casino buffets back in the day. Quit reading reviews and don't bother with this one. I'm sorry I didn't take a picture of their dismal signature dish so you all could see it. I'll will wait for a response from the owner, but doubt this will ever be made right.
