The Greyhound - Wolverhampton

Visited here for the first time today after reading the reviews on Trip Advisor. Had to wait for 10-15 minutes before we were seated as it was busy which was not a problem as we had not booked and we sat in the bar area...and had a drink. We was then taken to our table and given lunchtime and Christmas menus. Staff were very attentive and customer serviced focus and nothing was a problem and very polite and friendly. We both chose from the lunchtime menu and great value as 2 courses are £12 or 3 for £16. We had chicken tikka for a starter and probably the best we’ve ever tasted. My fiancée had fish and chips which the batter was beautiful and I had gammon chips and egg which was also excellent quality food. After that we were full and decided not to have a dessert but the choice on the menu did look very tempting. We definitely plan to come here again. Great food, great customer service and not over priced. Also not part of a pub chain! Thanks for a great meal.

I went to this restaurant for lunch with a friend, and enjoyed it so much that I went back a week later with two other friends. I was not disappointed either time. We opted for the two-course lunch menu, which was incredibly delicious both times. The portions were generous, especially the starter, and the main course was just as satisfying. The food was a step above your typical pub fare and offered great value for the price. The restaurant is located in a charming semi-rural setting, with an attractive atmosphere. The staff were friendly and the service was efficient. I will definitely be returning again in the future.

Haven't been to this pub for a few years as the food and service went down hill. We decided to book a table for Sunday dinner based on the good reviews. We were fortunate to get a table at 4 pm as they were really...full so my tip is to book early. On arrival staff communicated well with us in getting our table ready, taking our drinks order and bringing to our table. Someone even checked to see if we needed the door closing/left open as we were sat opposite the door. The dinner was cooked to perfection. gravy, condiments etc were brought over promptly and with no hesitation. The Yorkshire pudding was divine and meat selection was perfect. The service was outstanding considering it was fully booked and only faltered slightly at dessert but,even then compared to other restaurants, it was not a concern. So good was our meal we have already planned to return next month.

This is a lovely,friendly pub with a relaxing atmosphere.the food is good and the staff are welcoming.we were at first reluctant to go here due to some of the negative reviews, however we were pleasantly surprised.we will definitely be going here again.
