Bidra med feedbackVery nice, modern and cozy fish and oyster bar and restaurant. It has inside and outdoor seating. They have a wonderful brunch, but we chose from the regular menu and the specials, which were kind of pricey $40). The drinks were only $8 ×2. The oyster selection was amazing aa was our server! I recommend this place and I hope to go there again.
Very impressed by the location and what it brings! The attention to details by the staff won me over... For starters Holly was Amazing!!! Knowledgeable, gregarious, attentive and above all very professional. Nicole... your handshake confirmed my food delivery for 100% it would arrive safely...lol Food presentation was above average, just to give you that feeling the food was going to taste as good as it looked... And the kitchen DELIVERED!!! Good job guys!! The only thing I would give as a recommendation, I like to give my reviews on the spot but the internet connection was non-existent in some spots of the restaurant (mainly in the spot I was seated). Another recommendation would be a better quality of sound to just emerge you into the beautiful ambiance the restaurant has.
Came here for double date night on Wednesday last week and it was a great spot for fresh seafood, drinks, and customer service! We ordered some raw oysters and drinks to get the night started and ended with shrimp and grits and the boiled seafood platter. Overall a good experience especially with our friendly server. Forgot his name but I’m pretty sure he had glasses and humored us with his pronunciation of Apalachicola oysters.
Food was delicious if you are willing to wait. My gf and I had a bad experience the 1st time we visited on date night but decided to come back again. Food was amazing and delicious but can use some refinement as far as presentation. Servers here don't have much character and are always running around. They seem to be scattered around with tables in different sections. The Hurricane is worth the for a strong drink, crab cakes and swordfish with collards was my fave!
When things went awry with another establishment, we decided to try Reel Fish Coastal Kitchen. Dinner started out rough when we were told that we couldn't be seated since we did not have a reservation. Dining hall was empty with plenty of open spots in the bar area. Started to walk out when staff had a change of heart and made space for our party of 5 in the bar. Started off with the raw oysters, which were some of the best the group has ever had. Moved on to the cooked oysters which were okay. Group would have preferred another round of raw. For the main meals, ordered up the catch of the day, swordfish, mutton snapper, then a salmon, fish platter, gumbo and scallops. Catch of the day fish was by far the best, followed by the scallops, salmon and gumbo. For dessert, went with the Key Lime Pie, peach bread pudding, coconut cream white cake. With the key lime pie taking top honors followed by the bread pudding. Will definitely return when I'm back in Winter Park.
