I was there for a gathering of Alums from NCSU. It was a wonderful gathering. Great food, excellent service, great conversation, good parking. Truly excellent in every way. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Grilled Salmon Beurre Monte, Mac Cheese
I ordered NC Shrimp and Grits. Tasty, though the addition of corn to the grits seemed gratuitous. The Creme Brulee French Toast was more dessert, than brunch. Biscuits were delicious!! Our server was also fantastic! Service: Dine in Meal type: Brunch Price per person: $10–20 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Went here on a whim on a Sunday night. We made reservations although we probably didn’t need it. We were greeted and seated right away and our server was very knowledgeable and answered our rather specific questions. For drinks we got an espresso martini, ok, and the apple mule, which was rather good. For dinner we had the mixed salad which was nice with the pickled onions, the Joyce farms chicken natural with dark meat, which was easily a 9/10 exceptional flavor and moistness, the Joyce farms duck breast which was very rich, and the small plates scallops which were cooked perfectly, although it only came with 3. Critiques we have is we wish the food was a little bit hotter, as I feel that the staff was waiting to bring out all the food at once. Next time we’ll specify. I also feel the duck could have used the tiniest bit of salt to bring out more of that natural duck flavor. While the scallops were cooked very well and had a nice flavor, the dish was pricey to only have 3 scallops. Overall however, I would come back for the chicken alone. I think ordering the “natural” flavor and having the bbq sauce on the side to dip a little for that vinegar/sweet taste is the way to go for sure. Rather pleased with our dinner and this would be a place we come back to.
