The Gate House Sports - Winsford

I enjoyed a delightful afternoon tea for my son's farewell before his volunteer trip to Kenya. The restaurant offered both traditional and vegan menus, and both were delicious, beautifully presented, and served by lovely staff. They went above and beyond to accommodate us, and we were treated to plenty of tea. A special thanks to Alex for hosting us; we will definitely be returning!

I wouldn't recommend drinking at The Gate again. Last week, the landlord, Damen, barred me from the pub because he can't pay his bills. The brewery intervened and told him he had to give up one of his pubs—it was either The Gate or The Feathers—and everyone was talking about it. However, I ended up taking the blame for the situation. Despite everything, it's worth noting that he used to be a great landlord, but in just six months, he has lost three pubs, can't keep up with his bills, and treats his customers poorly. So, be cautious if you decide to visit any of his pubs; you might get barred for no reason because of his attitude.

The quiz on Tuesday was excellent, and the quizmaster was quite charming!

The atmosphere is fantastic, and it's a wonderfully friendly pub.
