Favourite park in Winnipeg. I would give 5 stars if a transit bus came through. The 18 could easily make a little loop through the park along its route :
Went to go pick up the Virtual Family Camp pakage for Polar Bear Day. My daughter had a fun time watching and learning and making the glitter poop cookies. Thank you to Manitoba and the Zoo for these opportunities during these times. Went skating for the first time this winter Feb 17, 2024 who would have thought, was nice to see a few people out in the dark at 8pm.
Assiniboine Park in Winnipeg is a must-visit with its zoo, English garden, and The Leaf, showcasing stunning tropical plants. It has a great playground and an amazing ice cream store nearby on St. James or Portage Ave. Don't miss the fireworks on Canada Day, making it a perfect spot for both fun and celebration.
