I was skeptical with all the rave regarding Walrus and Carpenter, however I was still impressed by the food, drinks, space and service. As with most popular Seattle area restaurants, there was a wait since we did not have reservations. The highly regarded Barnacle happens to be adjacent to the small Walrus and made a great place to grab some cocktails while we waited for our table. Interesting how that worked out (sarcasm). Our drinks were fantastic and once we finished, our table was ready. The space is tight but it worked. Part of the restaurant was indoors and some outdoors. The food came out rather quick and everything was delicious. Nothing negative comes to mind about my experience! The standout items were definitely the oysters and the steak tartare.
