Bidra med feedbackWhen asked about where 's the best BBQ in Delaware, my answer has always been 'my backyard '. I may have to change my answer. The brisket (the absolute hardest thing to do well) was perfect. Tender. Moist. And 'The Sauce ' was great. Solid cornbread as well. Give this place a shot. Totally worth it
We went to Locale BBQ Post today for the first time today! We got brisket, pulled pork, and ribs and a bunch of sides! I could write a review on the pickles alone! First, the pork barbecue was delicious, smoky and moist! The ribs were amazing, falling off the bone and tender! But my favorite of all was the brisket! Oh the brisket! The flavor is staggering with lots of smokey undertones and it was incredibly moist! It fell apart like a perfect roast does but with a bigger flavor! I'm a Southerner and I love NC BBQ with its requisite vinegar based sauce I'm from the western NC mountains). But I was an instant fan of Locale's sauce. It's tomato based with hints of orange and a delicious aftertaste that makes the pulled pork come alive! This is just the first of many trips! Can't wait to try the chicken and bratwurst next trip. Oh did I mention the Cole slaw???
Awesome food. Made a lunch run for the staff. Pulled pork had the right amount of sauce and the chicken was great. The side dishes complimented the meal. I will come back and sample some more items from the menu. : The ordering line starts with your meal, works your way towards side dishes and up to the register. Well organized. The place was packed but just like the other people waiting with me it was worth the wait.
So I already was a regular, but today I stopped in for breakfast. Quite possibly the best breakfast sandwich I have ever had. Simple yet dynamite.
From the moment I pulled up, the aroma hit me and I immediately started salivating. It tickled my nose and pulled me in, past the four hungry guys munching quietly at the picnic tables, the only sound were groans of pure bliss. As I walked inside, there was a line of people anxiously awaiting for their order to be taken. Smokey goodness filled the air. I had already perused the menu ahead of time, and knew what I wanted. When it was my turn, I ordered the brisket sandwich, side of mac and cheese, collard greens, and pickles. For my sandwich, I asked for the peach bbq sauce. I couldn't wait to get back to work to start chowing down. The 15 minute ride back was torture, it smelled so good. OH.MY.GAWD!!!! I have never, EVER, had brisket that tender and juicy before. It melted in my mouth! The peach bbq sauce was to die for (and wish I'd asked for extra . The cole slaw topping my sandwich was crisp and tangy, a perfect accompaniment. The roll was soft yet sturdy, and held up wonderfully to the sauce and meat. My taste buds were singing. And, let's not forget the sides... Mac and cheese was creamy and decadent. Collard greens were tangy with a bite of vinegar. Pickles were amazing (locally made, I have a jar in the fridge at home . My tummy is full, and very satisfied. The only thing to make this better would be some peach cobbler for dessert. ; Thank you Christopher Baittinger for sharing your passion with the world!
