Corner Bistro - Wilmington

I visited Corner Bistro for lunch on a weekday and had a wonderful experience. The service was excellent and the place wasn't crowded at all. Our food arrived hot and fresh. We started with the Classic Caesar and the Kale Quinoa Salad as appetizers, both of which were delicious and fresh. For our main courses, we ordered the Grass Fed Burger, Lobster Roll, and the Ranch, Blue Cheese, and Spinach Quiche, paired with a bowl of Crab and Red Pepper Bisque. Everyone enjoyed their meals, although one person said they wouldn’t choose the Lobster Mac and Cheese again, even though it was still tasty. Overall, we would definitely return to Corner Bistro.

Overall, this restaurant has a pleasant ambiance, but their interpretations of dishes like baked brie and fondue are quite different from traditional bistro offerings. For instance, the baked brie consisted of brie cheese melted directly on baguette slices, and the tomato fondue turned out to be simply tomato sauce. If you're not concerned about authenticity, this may not be an issue. However, if you're seeking an authentic bistro experience, you might want to consider other options.

I ordered the baked Brie, which turned out to be just four thin slices of Brie toasted on small baguette pieces. For $14, this felt quite disappointing. Seriously, I expected more.

I will go back here for every occasion. This place is amazing

The service was great! French onion was delicious. Unfortunately the crab cake sandwich was just ok. It was not lump meat as noted in the description
