Bidra med feedbackIt is always a pleasure to visit Manhattan Deli when I am visiting from Florida.
Updated Review: I went 3 times in the last 2 weeks and am revising way down. In fact, I may not ever go back. I really did want to give them a chance, but I can not take rude or neglectful service, repeatedly. My original review stated that there was a long wait to sit, and the hostess seemed to not care, but I thought I'd give her some grace despite her visible grumpiness. BUT my next two visits got much worse. Hostess was AWOL for a while, and no one greeted me or even acknowledged our presence in line. I did get seated, and the server was fine. On the third visit, I arrived at 8:30pm and knew they closed at 9, but I had seen others seated up to 9 on previous visits. I waited a long time, everyone ignored me and no sign of hostess. When she did finally come over, she said they don't seat after 8:45. It was 8:35 by then. She looked at me like she wanted me to leave and was visibly put out. She finally seated me by the bar. When the server came over, she was making a face to let me know she was not happy. I ordered a soda, and they were out of diet coke! I ordered quickly, and it came up, I ate and was out by 8:55pm. Food was tasteless. Wow. And not a manager or anyone in sight. What a horrible experience! Modern diner nestled in a strip mall in Willoughby with rude service. I had a chicken salad melt that comes with a side (I picked potato salad), which was tasty but a bit runny. Nice range of high-end deserts like cheese cake, carrot cake, etc. Their covered outdoor patio was crowded. There's also a small bar and TV that had the Guardians game on. My service was fine, but I did wait a really long time to be seated, which seemed odd to me and the short line that formed, and no one on staff even seemed to notice. They were busy on a Monday night, so plan accordingly. Open 7 days a week for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Don't arrive after a half hour before closing because they won't seat you. Wheelchair accessibility: Several patrons using wheelchairs when I was there. One level.
I bought one regular and one king size cornbeef, toasted on white bread, I spent $27 and it was horrible, soggy bread not toasted, cheese not melted, the sandwiches look to be the same size, very disappointed
First visit. Had the light corned beef, kraut, and Swiss on croissant, and it was perfect. The fries are light, crispy, and delicious. Will return!
Was here for the first time and it was good. I was really expecting more a New York City flavor as they seems to be from New York as they named many plates with New York names, but food was alright. The staff was nice and the place looked cleaned. There’s a nice dinning vibe…
