J Dub's Grill - Williston

Had a couple drinks here and checked out the menu. There were good drink specials, but the $3 margarita tasted liked an over sweetened wine cooler. I watched baskets of fried food and burgers came past me and decided that I wanted something better for dinner and moved on. Two big rooms with individual bars. No separate dinning room.

I've never physically been to this place (I promise to rectify that real soon), but a guest of mine brought me a cheeseburger and fries back from here. ****! The fries. THE FRIES!!!! The cheeseburger was super tasty delicious, but did I mention ALL OF THE FRIES? J'Dubs. I'm coming to you my love, because I need more fries.

I'm going to give them 4 stars but 3.5 stars would be more appropriate. Since this was my first time here, there was absolutely nothing negative about my experience. The waitress was super friendly and attentive and did a really good job. It's a clean and comfortable restaurant with plenty of food options. I had the asada fries off the appetizer menu and it was a very large portion of food. They were just all right, nothing to write home about. I will go back and try more food.

Very chill and clean atmosphere, great variety, and the waitresses are usually friendly.

So, maybe I've had to lower my standards because we are talking about Williston, but thus far, I've not found better meals or service in Williston. The food has been decent and the service has thus far always been good. The bartender remembered our drinks a week after we were in the first time (and we only had a couple). The oil boom has indeed made customer service rare in Williston... but no complaints here.
