CLOSED Replaced by Loco Pollo 29 September 2018This place has the best salsa verde I've ever had. I'll describe it as a creamy cucumber-avocado succulent. It has just the perfect level of spice, you can taste it but it won't adversely impact your palate. Torta also comes with fresh cucumber and radish garnish, which I found to be a refreshing break from the typical roasted jalapeño/serrano. The jalapeños on the sandwich, are lightly pickled, crisp and delicious.They also own the distinction of being the only place I've found which carries a salsa piña, if that's your thing (which for me, it is not). Standard-fare food. The al-pastor looked good, but I'm sticking to asada so I can more easily compare and contrast various renditions of torta.Note: It's easy to miss this place, as it's located inside Plaza de Mexico. There is plenty of seating. Closes at 10pm.
