I would describe it as a creamy blend of cucumber and avocado, with just the right amount of spice—noticeable but not overwhelming to your taste buds. The torta comes with fresh cucumber and radish garnishes, which provide a refreshing contrast to the usual roasted jalapeño or serrano peppers. The jalapeños in the sandwich are lightly pickled, crisp, and delicious. They also had the unique distinction of offering a salsa piña, though it’s not my personal favorite. The food overall is standard fare. While the al-pastor looked tempting, I opted for the asada to better compare and appreciate different versions of the torta. Just a note: this place can be easy to overlook since it’s located inside Plaza de Mexico, but there’s plenty of seating available. They close at 10 PM.
