Bidra med feedbackStaff was friendly and efficient. Chicken fried steak was something I have never seen before! It had some kind of breading like tampura or something. Looked big until you cut it and discover it?s 75% breading. They also bake the bacon which makes it likerubber. I may be a little judgmental being I?m a restaurant owner so try it for yourself, Nowadays there?s so many transplantsyou get different styles and tastes from all over the country. Definitely not Texas style food.
It?s very homey but the food was great. I got catfish and shrimp (the platter of the day) and both were great. And of course you have to get a piece of the piece the chocolate merengue pie was really good. Overall a good value.
We had an amazing experience at this restaurant after our visit to Lake Whitney State Park. The menu is extensive, offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner options all day long. The creative appetizers and the impressive dessert selection really enhanced our meal. We definitely plan to return!
We had an amazing dining experience! I ordered the veggie plate, and the home-cooked pinto beans were absolutely delicious. The salad was fantastic as well, and the mashed potatoes were equally impressive. My husband tried the chicken fried steak, which he loved! We also indulged in the incredible lemon pie for dessert. The customer service was outstanding! We’ll definitely be returning.
If you’re near Lake Whitney, this place is a must-visit! The food is fantastic, and the service is excellent—special thanks to our server, Erika! Her recommendations were perfect. If you're hungry, you should definitely eat here, no matter the meal! And make sure to save some room for dessert!
