Tangerine - Whitby Canada

This is currently one of my favorite places for Thai and Hakka cuisine. One dish I always order is the chicken pad Thai, which is a must-try at Tangerine. However, I have to mention that the customer service could be improved, as the staff typically don’t check in on diners or refill water when needed. Despite this drawback, I keep coming back because I truly enjoy the food. Most menu items are priced under $10, and you have the option to add something extra like the soup of the day, a soda, or a vegetable spring roll. The food is consistently served hot and prepared quickly. The chicken pad Thai is always bursting with flavor, and the spring rolls are pleasantly crunchy. Just a heads-up: there isn't a soup of the day on weekends, but I do recommend the corn soup and the sweet and sour soup.

I ordered takeout for the first time last week, and I was quite impressed. The staff was friendly, and my food was ready in just 25 minutes. We tried the chili chicken, Manchurian beef, shrimp, and Mapo tofu. Everything was delicious, except for the tofu, which is usually my favorite. I would definitely order everything else again and I'm looking forward to trying more dishes in the future.

We recently visited this restaurant again and were thoroughly impressed by the outstanding food. It appears to be under new management, and the value is remarkable. The dishes are flavorful, and there is a wide variety of vegetarian options to choose from.

Your basic hakka place. Food is as expected and atmosphere is ok. Depending on which server you get some are nice and some are rude. But who cares, you're there for halal hakka. Shut up, eat up, pay your bill and leave. It's that kind of a place.

This place is halal and a great sit down joint for the family. Things can be spicy here but you can tell them to tone it down and mild will actually taste mild. When we arrived it was quite busy but we only waited a few minutes to be seated and our orders were taken promptly. Their service is superb as we had our appetizers come out quickly and the mains following soon after. The food is delicious and affordable which you just can't beat. I'm in love with the Hot and sour soup in any variation veggie, chicken or seafood! I also enjoy their Bombay chicken, Lollipop chicken, and Beef with snow peas mushroom. You're bound to go gaga over something here so gather round a group of foodies and order a few things to try off the menu.
