Smp Sussex Market - Wharton

Everyone at Sussex Meat Packing in Wharton is super kind and helpful. The place is always really clean. Great selection of cuts, but they take requests also just like any other butcher. They also have a really nice selection of other things like bread, pickles, French fries, amazing raviolis etc etc. Great deli too. Their sandwiches are awesome. All of that alone makes me go there but I will no longer buy meat elsewhere especially chicken. Their chicken is always amazingly juicy and no weird texture like some of the other chicken you buy in the supermarket. Seriously, this place is a treasure and I highly recommend it!

SMP is like Christmas for carnivores. Be prepared to wait if you're there in core hours grab a number from the dispenser inside the door. They have lots of things besides meat too take a look around at the produce and frozen foods.

Their deli sandwiches are SO GOOD. Lots of variety to choose from as well.

We simply moved into the opposite and was recommended by our neighbour to try them. I am very pleased that we have done it. it is an amazing market. the flesh looked so fresh. the owner metzger went through the load and explained where the dings were where he gets the meat. what they do in the house. was very impressed. you see this type of service no longer. we will be back and recommend smp sussex market.
