The Wyke Smugglers

I have been a regular at this pub for many years, and I recently found out that Keith, the owner of Rendezvous, is now in charge of Smugglers. From my family's experiences drinking there, we know Keith is a friendly guy. It was a pleasant surprise to learn he is taking over Smugglers. However, I believe all the staff at Wyke Smugglers, especially Anna and Jo, have truly made the pub special. They make everyone feel welcome, and I think they deserve more recognition. I hope Keith takes this feedback on board and takes good care of his staff, as without them, the pub wouldn't be the same.

First time eating and the Wyke Smugglers since it has been under new management and the food was really good. Wasn’t sure what to expect after having a bad experience here before (previous owner) but it was great. The food came out quickly, was fresh and really tasty and reasonably priced. I’ll be back!

Excellent food, friendly and helpful staff and dog friendly too. Had an amazing lunch with my wife and two children. Large portions of delicious food, with very nice and helpful staff. Dog biscuits at the bar for our two four legged friends as well. The halloumi starters were excellent, and the smothered chicken was delicious too.

Great experience! The food was delicious and fresh, the restaurant was clean and had a pleasant atmosphere. It was also reasonably priced and child and dog friendly. We tried two main dishes from the specials board and were very satisfied with the portion sizes. Overall, a fantastic meal for £22 including drinks. What more could you ask for?

We went for Sunday roast and had the chicken and pork dishes, both of which were plentiful and delicious. It was one of the best Sunday lunches we have ever had. The staff were friendly and helpful.
