Gem hidden in the lobby of the abandoned Bonaventure Resort. Tables inside, outside and bar seat. Live piano music on selected evenings. Dress up a little, reserve if u can. $39 Three course meal was perfect. Choose a salad, attract pages and dessert for the specified price. After dinner a walk through the pool waterfall and backwater trail. Ceaser salad - for them without the sardines above! To fish for me! Summer salad is sweet and very citrus. Rolls come with 3 butter flavors including orange. NY Strip was good, but I'm not excited about the really aged taste. Salmon was thick and damp. Brownie Dessert is large, warm and ice cold. Cream Brûlée is extremely small! Strawberry Pinapple Mojito is minty and fruity and good size glass for $13.
All I can say is WOW! I can't believe this place was here. I felt like I was a royal food here. The food was delicious. The servers were great and kept the drinks constantly. My steak was amazing. After we put ourselves on the order, every single place in the place was completely full. I definitely go back.
I don't often go to dinner, especially because I'm a casual dresser, and partly because of the cost. A friend and I were in town for the Queen concert, and she asked me to get a good steak house near the venue for dinner. Bases on reviews, I choose Ireland. We were not disappointed. Reserved thru Google over OpenTable and twisted a table instead of both. The Hostess actually confirmed the request you made on arrival. Huge bonus points. The atmosphere is elevated, but casual. Service extremely fast throughout our entire meal. And the quality of the food was impeccable. The prices are high, but the entire experience made it good the cost. Note that there is also a Prixfix menu that is about the cost of going to a chain, but we were here for the good things! We shared a bottle of Merlot, but I didn't think to consider the name. I am terrible in the description of wine aromas, but this had a middle body and very smooth surface. Very versatile. 3 breads were served with 3 butter options. The breads were fantastic. 1 was a thin crack. Another was a soft, dense and chewing crusher roll, and the third was a light, fluffy sesame roll. In addition to standard butter, we had garlic butter and orange flower butter. All were subtle, but delicious. I had the red pepper soup with asparagus tips and lump Crab in Mascarpone cheese on the side. It was a hearty, beautifully seasoned beginning. My friend had the French onion soup, and I could feel the decadence of only looking at them. She had the Wagyu Steak and I chose the buffalo-talloin. Both were perfectly cooked medium rare and seasoned to perfection. There were 4 salt options on the table that I wanted to try, but there was simply no need. The buffalo talloin came with a small piece of arugula and cherry tomatin on the side and fried onions on the top. I found them unnecessary with such a wonderful steak, but they are easily aside, unlike a sauce, so they really don't bother. We shared 3 pages. I chose sauteed mushrooms and sauteed spinach, and my friend chose the au gratin potatoes. I am usually lukewarm on au gratin potatoes, but they were the star of the sides. I could have done this alone! The spinach and mushrooms were well prepared, with the spinach needs a note more season, but the potatoes stole the show. Unfortunately, due to the time constraints and the fact that we were lawfully full, we did not try any dessert here. Maybe next time I'll be smart and save space. They brought a small sweet plate with dark chocolate dipped orange slices and coconut macaroons (is that the right term? picture below), which were a very pleasant finish touch. I can't think of a single thing missing in this meal. If I ever have another special occasion in this area, I will remember going back to Ireland!
I came here seeking the holly grail of the steaks, now If you love steak as much as I do you know I'm not talking about any regular steak I came here not for Kobe beef or Wagyu beef I came here for the mother load, the one and only. The Cap of Ribeye is also known as the deckle steak, dorsi cap, spinalis ribeye or the ribeye cap among true beef aficionados. In France it goes by the name of calotte steak and in more scientific circles it is known as the spinalis dorsi. This is the most delicious and succulent steak ever!!! The service simply put excellent, the atmosphere very nais and cozy, the prices but let me tell you every time I craving the king of all meats I know where to go, strongly recommend I love this place will come back.
