Legends Cafe - Westminster

Terrible experience—avoid Legends! My wife and I visited on Friday evening around 8 PM for Restaurant Week, and it started off well with a friendly server and enjoyable appetizers (wings and calamari). However, the main courses were some of the worst we've ever had! My wife ordered the stuffed rockfish, which had a fishy taste—definitely not fresh. The crab cake was even worse, with an odd taste and a mushy texture; there wasn't a single chunk of backfin in it! I chose the 8 oz sirloin, which was nowhere near 8 oz (more like 4 oz) and overcooked; while one side was well done, the other was medium well. I added a crab cake to my meal, but it had the same strange flavor. I'm familiar with crab cakes, and those were just awful! I suspect they might be using crab meat from leftover all-you-can-eat meals and repurposing it with inappropriate seasonings that aren't typical for a traditional Maryland crab cake!

When the waitress asked if everything was fine, I informed her about the issues with my meal, but she just returned with the full bill. I told her I was unwilling to pay the full amount given the terrible food. The owner then came to my table, apologized for my dissatisfaction, and insisted that I still needed to pay in full. This experience is why I typically avoid complaining about bad food; it feels like no one cares anymore. I ended up paying the entire bill but I will NEVER go back. I left feeling completely cheated!
