Carey Tavern - Westfield

We stopped after a basketball game to enjoy some vodka blenders fried cheese cubes. Karaoke was lively and entertaining. Tina was our server that we just loved to have the feeling of the last of all. We'll be back.

Food was great! Chicken strips were homemade and not frozen. I would have given 5 stars, but not because the waitress was not attentive. The other waitress helped us more than our regular waitress. She talked a lot to other customers (men).

Lunch at Carey Tavern was a first for me and I heard good things about eating here and her pig-talloin sandwich, which was as good as I heard! Fresh food came fast and hot, even at 1:00. Friendly staff and fillings on our drinks also arrived at the right time.

Having recently moved to Westfield, I decided to try some of the more local restaurants in the city. I stopped by Carey Tavern for lunch and tried her lunch special, that was a steak queen. The food was substantial and pretty good. The price wasn't too terrible either. I've been trying a few other things since this visit. I wasn't so impressed with her regular menu. It consists of a lot of fried food options. The ambience is a little dry, but the staff is friendly. Overall, it seems like a pretty typical bar, but I would probably return for another good lunch special.
