Eikehof Wines - Western Cape

Really enjoy visiting Herold Wines. I always get a warm and friendly reception. While they have great food options, they also have a cheese and meat platter that pairs nicely with the wine tasting menu. The pinot noir and the chardonnay are both exceptional.

We have never felt more welcome or comfortable. The casual atmosphere and chat was wonderful, not to mention the fantastic wines.

Amazing views, great whites and a lovely rustic and down to earth atmosphere

Unfortunately this was the first Winery on our Franschoek Trip because all the other ones didn’t stand a chance in comparison with Eikehof! Great atmosphere but especially absolutely awesome staff who seemed very knowledgeable and — most importantly — authentic and friendly. Highly recommended. Oh yeah, the Wines were good as well; And be sure to get the cheese platter.

Had the pleasure of meeting the winemaker and his family at this family owned/run estate. It was a nice visit, and the cheese plate was phenomenal. I enjoyed trying all their wines, but the tasting cheque was more than expected (the most expensive all day) and not very clear what you were paying for/getting.
