Pizza Express - West Lothian

The food at Pizza Express was up to their usual standard and our waitress was pleasant. The only drawback was that the restaurant was a bit cold and could have been warmer. There was a solo diner at the next table who spent his entire meal complaining to the staff about various things, most of which seemed like he was just a chronic complainer. The staff handled the situation well.

We had a spontaneous dinner before our movie and we couldn't have asked for a better dining experience! The staff was friendly and attentive. Although there were a couple of mistakes with our orders, they were quickly fixed. The chef even came out to apologize in person and brought out a dish that had to be redone. It's the small gestures that really make a difference! We were offered complimentary coffee, which we declined, but before leaving they surprised us with chocolate fudge cake to take away. The food was delicious, the wine was great, and they even brought us more water without us having to ask. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience!

Popped in for dinner as we had been shopping. We were greeted by friendly staff. Food and service were very good.

The overall ambiance of the restaurant was nice and welcoming. : However, When entering the restaurant there was no one to greet us and three people walked by without even saying hello. Finally someone came to seat us but it seemed to be beneath them to do so. About five minutes later our order was taken and the drinks delivered. About 20 minutes later our food arrived. The food pizza) looked nice on the surface but once eaten we found the dough was very soft and the tase well lets just say uck!! The overall service form the staff was poor not just for us but we noticed others were getting a bit irritated as well. The Pizza Expresses we have visited in the past have always been great and we hope this one steps up as well.

My partner and I popped in here before seeing a film to book for after the film. The girl who took our reservation didn't put it in any book and had to be prompted to take our name. This was a sign of things to come. When we arrived we ordered drinks and I given the wrong wine. We also had to ask for a jug of water twice. My partners garlic bread was really small for the cost. For two starters, two pizza's and two alcoholic beverages, it was £60. It simply wasn't worth it. Pizza Express used to be such amazing value. Even without the other factors described, it just isn't good value for money anymore.
