Sushi Monk - West Chester

Favorite Sushi Restaurant in Cincinnati. They are always amazing with service and quality of food. Will always hear when I have the money.

About a week ago I came back to Cincinnati for the first time in 3 years! Too late to Monk and gifted with the same hospitality as I had visited last day! Had the infamous crack and was immediately reminded of what I loved... and miss the monk! I can't find another sushi restaurant like the monk. The quality and care invloved cannot be achieved anywhere else! I miss the monk and look forward to another visit!

Like a nice family restaurant. When I say family, the staff seems to know everyone who eats there. It is a very relaxing atmosphere. I had two roles. They were both excellent. Lava roll and a Spicy Tuna. The lava roller was absolutely excellent. The deep-fried crispy crust on the roll made it perfect. I'm usually not in the boiled rolls, but this was great.

The food is consistently delicious. The service is inconsistent - our last visit that we have set ourselves in glasses with water and then ignored 45 minutes. I saw other tables sitting and being served while I was feathered with my empty glass. Once we started the service, it was excellent, but the staff for my birthday dinner forgot made me sad.

Food is amazing, Calvin is personable, and the staff is very friendly. Traveled the world and this is one of my favorite places for sushi and sashimi. The fried rice is a also amazing!
