Bidra med feedbackOn Monday morning at 11:15, we stopped by for a coffee and a quick bite. The woman with me ordered a coffee and a roasted sandwich, while I opted for a pfeffer steak pie and orange juice. The juice was excellent, but the cake was mediocre. Unfortunately, the woman did not receive her coffee until after I had finished my lunch. After waiting 25 minutes, she inquired about her sandwich, only to be met with another delay.
The dining experience at this restaurant is fantastic - the food is fresh, healthy, and delicious, although the menu selection is somewhat limited. The owners and staff are consistently warm and welcoming, providing quick and efficient service. One unique aspect of this establishment is the option to purchase a variety of quirky clothes and household items, some of which are locally made.
We enjoyed several breakfasts and afternoon teas at Rustic during our stay at Shearwater Resort, except on the weekends when there was a noticeable influx of middle-aged cyclists.
While this is a bakery during the day of an evening from Wednesday to Sunday, it doubles as a restaurant/Asia farewell. we were in the resort over the street and when over to get brot for the week and noticed that the bakery served. Asian meal we went over an evening and ordered fried rice, satay chicken and Mongolian lamb. we never expected the amount of food that came out. it was served quickly and was very tasty, but although I can take away a lot of food, there was no possibility that we could eat it all. what a shame. if they are in the opposite of looking for a meal, then this is worth a look, I am sure they will enjoy.
Formerly Tempt' Bakery now Rustic on Boulevard' I was a bit disappointed with my visit here. Being just after 11am I was after brunch' moreso than just something sweet. There were no vegetarian options in the pie/hot pastry selection and, as I didn't want...a full meal' (they do have some vegetarian dishes) I had to make do with an apple slice and coffee. While the coffee was nice, the apple slice was very dense (more pastry than apple). I noticed that even the cake selections were limited. Mainly cream-filled pastries or donuts or very sweet slices (like caramel slice or jam tarts). There were no fruit buns, or carrot cake or more plainer or healthier options. While the selection on offer might be winners for some people, it's not to my taste. I like cakes/slices that look rustic and taste home made rather than commercial'. On the plus side, the service was great and all the staff were very friendly. And Shearwater is a gorgeous coastal town. So all in all it was a bit of a hit and miss. Probably wouldn't rush back.
