Maybe they?re having an off day? The pecans in my pecan waffle were just piled in the middle which made the batter not cook all of the way and didn?t allow the griddle to settle, so the whole waffle was just poofy and under cooked. The bacon was very cold,so I asked for it to be corrected, and to please use the bacon press. Nope, got new bacon that was very hot and burnt on one endand pink and undercooked on the other. Worst WH experience I?ve had in awhile.
I had the waffle with hash browns ,2 eggs,ham and raisin toast., and it was great. The service was great, my food was exactly as i asked. Will be back for great service soon.
Depending on the location...Waffle House can be a hit or miss. On this particular day, I placed an order for 2 waffles. A couple of the waffle makers appeared to have issues. I 'm sure at least 2 staff members knew about the issues but apparently it wasbusiness as usual. I witnessed the end result of a couple of waffles. They just didn 't look appealing. Fortunately my wafflescame out fine. My point to this is...this isn 't Ihop or Pancake House, It 's Waffle House. Get with someone and get the wafflemakers fixed. I gave four stars because the staff is always pleasant and this particular Waffle House was open the day afterhurricane Ian hit. When everything including gas stations were closed...They were open and doing their best to accommodate theamount of guests sitting down to eat and taking orders to go. Thank you to the staff for making it happen
I would like to report the poor service I received at your store at VIllage Market store #650 this evening. I wanted to place a to go order in person between 11-1120 pm. The store while fairly busy still had open tables and no one waiting in line. Therewere by my count 3 servers and 2 cooks on staff unless there were more in the back. I spoke with Madison and informed here Iwanted to place a togo order. She told me they weren 't taking to go orders but a could sit at a table and eat and pointed to anempty table. I was a bit taken aback by this answer. I have been going to this waffle house for 15 years and have never hadthis happen. They were not understaffed nor overly busy especially if i could just grab a table. I tried to politely explainto her the silliness of this request as I could just sit down wait for my order then ask for a box. Wasting plates, time andtaking up a table. When explained that she said I couldn 't do that necessarily. I have seen this location so busy at timesthat there are crowds of people standing outside and barely room to walk inside and they still took to go orders. I am not surewhat happened tonight but it needs to be corrected. If there are readily available tables for me to sit down I should not berefused to go service. What boggles my mind is that there was no thought to even find out if I was willing to wait or even andexplanation of what was the reason why. She just walked away. Even a triage method would have been better a hey we are reallybehind are do you have a big order or is it just you? If an investigation was done she would have found that it was just meordering one dish for myself. I do not understand the thought process here.
