Good food and friendly service, typical Swiss dishes and contemporary menu. Good service, except for one surly server

We shared a fondue entry and it was more than enough for 2 people.(24 euros) Wine was only $3.50 euros per glass and very good. Staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. With all that is said about high prices in Switzerland, this place was very...reasonable and food was good!

Most of the restaurants in Wengen are hotel restaurants and, as non-guests, we like to look for restaurants that don't look too much like hotel restaurants, if you see what I mean. The Silberhorn restaurant is nicely set out, the service is good and the...food is traditional fresh Swiss fare, which usually involves cheese and potatoes in various combinations. It also has an attractive roof terrace with views across the valley. It's not a stand-out restaurant but it's certainly worth a visit and one of the better places we found in Wengen.

Don’t like to be pushed into a corner when travelling solo. Personnel could do with a course in customer relations.
