Chilis Bistro And Tandoor - Wellington

After the last development of our usual local restaurants we started going a few months ago to chilis bistro and tandoor in newlands. we are impressed by this restaurant. her quite extensive menu, the quality of her meals, her friendly and helpful service and the spacious and comfortable sitting options, make it to my opinion, an excellent restaurant. I also think they're pretty expensive. we went to the last night again (19/6/22) and this time as a group of 9 and we all enjoyed the evening very much with a promise to be back. rahul took care of us last night and did so well.

It is quite common to stumble on a restaurant that can cook a good meal, but it is difficult to find a restaurant that can consistently cook a good meal. chili knocks it out of the park every time. her butter chicken is divine, perfectly seasoned with exactly the right amount of heat and her brote are always big and the Malai chicken tikka is a quiet wee stone hidden in the Entree menu. in contrast to what others have said, I think that their takeaway prices are fairly fair in view of the quantity and quality of food. their takeaway specials are quite decent price-wise. if your native has set you down or you're looking for something else that lets go of chili, I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

Great food! Unfortunately, the dosa was not an option in the night we went. but the curries were great, regardless of that. very happy experience

Honestly I have seen better tasting restaurants and better ambience ones in the city. To start with expensive on price, too mild in spices, too small in portions. It might be great for non native food lovers but not those who are native in the food. Service is fast and accurate. Won't regret if you miss a visit here.

Worst experience Eva!! Don't even want to give a 1 star, I phone ordered dinner went to pick it up 15 -20min later(which was ok) I go to pay and when I gave my name a realisation they had mixed my order with sum1elso so not only myself but a different customer had the wrong meal so they ask me to wait for them to sort out my meal another 10-15 min I took dinner home dishes it up to my 2kids and partner on plates (as U do) and all of the rice was Luke warm to stone cold then we realised the butter chicken sauce was near cold also and we are sure that it was not chicken that was in our meal but some other type of meat so I called to explain my frustrations to which the old man who answered straight away argued he saw it being made ect I just said I wanted a freshly hot meal for my family to have the manager agreed to make another but hadn't said anything about bringing the cold meal bk so I go down to collect only again to be argued with and then asked wers the cold meal I explained I had served it up bla bla they said no fresh meal till old meal is shown I went bk home scrapped it all back into the containera took it back because I was 1container short due to us eating some as my kids were starving I then said I just wanted my money bk as by this stage we didn't want to risk eating ther food they only agreed to give me half my money bk and were so unbelievably rude as if it were all my fault. All I wanted was what I payed for and what I got was horribly wrong service and food , NEVER AGAIN
