Tubby's Ice Cream - Wayne

Absolutely Delighted. This hidden treasure in the beautiful town of Wayne, Maine, offered one of the best ice cream experiences I've ever had. Without a doubt, it featured the finest scooping I've had the pleasure of enjoying. I was truly impressed by the professionalism and skill displayed by the women working at this charming little stand. I made it a point to ask one particular staff member her name, Lilly, just so I could give her a shout-out. She was not only incredibly respectful but also cheerful, brightening my day after I had recently gone through the end of my six-year marriage. Having come from Italy to the States, I can honestly say I’ve never had a better ice cream experience—even when I had gelato with the Pope! Tubby's clearly knows how to pick their employees, and I left feeling absolutely thrilled.

We stopped at Tubby's while driving from Bar Harbor, ME to the White Mountains, NH. Since there aren't many options in the area, we're really glad we chose this place. You order at a window and then wait for your food, which took no longer than 10 minutes. Just a heads up: it's CASH ONLY. We tried the full lobster roll, a grilled cheese sandwich, and a hot dog. The prices for the grilled cheese and hot dog were very reasonable, while the lobster roll was priced similarly to what you'd find elsewhere. We enjoyed everything we ordered! The portions were generous, and the food was delicious. We definitely recommend it for a quick lunch stop!

I ordered a burger while my husband had a cheese steak. The bread was exceptional and unlike any ordinary roll we've had before. We were genuinely impressed by how delicious the food was. Additionally, the ice cream is fantastic too. As locals, we will definitely be returning!

The best lobster rolls and terrific homemade ice cream. Try the new flavor- peach! Sit outside along the pond.

Best lobster roll ever! Packed with big chunks of meat. Butter on the side and a root beer. My husband got a Philly cheesesteak that was so good he almost got a second one. Great spot and really friendly staff to boot. Don't miss this stop!
