Crafty Cow - Wauwatosa

Pretty disappointing experience. Server named Ellie never came back after food was dropped off to check if food was good/if we needed drinks for the entire meal. Next, the fish fry taste was not great and, at $18, which is slightly pricier than competitors and I would hope for more than 7 tatter tots. I ordered extra tartar sauce, but the kitchen ran out-Craft Cow still charged me for extra tartar sauce though. Since the server never came back I had to walk up to the bar to ask a bartender for this service, he was very nice. Ironically, when we were done eating, the bartender brought over 3 tartar sauces. I have friends that work here, therefore I will be back to give the poor service and disappointing food another try.

Everyone at this restaurant is so talented and good looking. They give exceptional service from the heart. Totally worth a visit for a fancy burger or just some Mac n cheese. There bourbon selection is surprisingly great. Bartenders were attentive and productive. Great vibe with the music and ambiance.

Ordered from Tosa location today vs my normal Bayview location and not disappointed. Food is just as good. Tots are the best tots around. Sauces are amazing. Our lunch order had fried chicken which is always outstanding on par with any southern chicken place. Grilled cheese was just outstanding with great bread grilled well and perfect amount of cheese. Naan tacos were great. Fried onion burger was ridiculously good... per my other burger ratings CC is a solid 7.6

I was certain we were on an episode of “Bar Rescue” because this place is horrendous. We were the first customers to walk I the door. Plenty of staff but no one came to help. Food took forever. Half our party got and finished their food before the rest of us. I ordered a plate of waffles, they brought one tiny waffle with butter, no syrup. We ordered tater tots and they had a dark hair fried into them! Not on top, INSIDE! The manager was very nice but the staff were so useless! Just sitting around talking. Would never go back!

Food is great. Drink prices exorbitant! If I'm gonna pay ten bucks for a beer when I look out the window I better see Miami, LA or NYC. Not Milwaukee. That said the food is very good. Chicken and Waffles, yum! Burgers, yum! Food is all high quality and delicious. Drink prices don't allow me to give fifth star. Edit: owner gave lame response saying all beers are not $10. Most are $6-8 okay how about a $9. CAN (12oz) Downeast cider (pear). Fourth star deducted for lame response that trips over itself.
