Jane Bond Cafe - Waterloo

I met friends at Jane Bond for dinner last night and was very impressed by the atmosphere and quality of food. The decor is fun and the holiday lights on the ceiling add a festive flair. I ordered the Munch Wrap Superior and it...was delicious. Will definitely come back!

Use to go regularly, but is always crappier, covid? cheap? money to distribute? taste goes downhill not back

Intimate, different, unique. Mod, mod, mod. Nothing like the city. Workmate from England also loved it.

We went on Sunday of the working day weekend - at weekend in a university town. And they said they didn't expect it to be so busy. As a result, they were underused and were made of objects on an already reduced Sunday menu. As a result, we all had the same. A vegan cake a burger. That was good, nothing extraordinary. All salads had spinach because that was all they had for salads. They forgot our appetizers, so it came after dinner. All of this makes the place substandard. Then there was the service. We waited and waited - first, for our order, then for our food. We had to ask three times to get water on the table and wait a long time for the third question, and finally they told them that they should not disturb the beer - waiting was too long. I don't think it was the fault of the staff - they just didn't have enough people who either wait tables or worked in the kitchen. Poor management. Can't recommend it.

This place is pretty neat. Both times husband and I went after 9pm which is when they have typical food service until. After 9 they have 3 options: nachos and salsa, antojitos or and onion and jalepeno dip served with tortilla chips. In my opinion...the third one is the best. I found a number of delicious onion chunks in my warm and delicious dip. I believe the majority if not al of their menu is vegetarian. They have amazing beer choices. Tonight I had skeleton key from Bellwood’s on tap! The only negative is the seating is kind of awkward and not the most comfortable.
