I ordered the big not the huge pad thai and baja chipotle $10.50 per,) which is very full but not too spicy. it is a rustic, rustic ambiente on the level with free parking front plentiful than on the other university commons with dieucks at the corner king and university.) the washroom is small but on the floor level. I would return for the burritos. if they can't decide between eating in freshii or thai express, try fat bastards, they can get it all!
The sautéed vegetable burrito is delicious and the service is quick and efficient, whether you order takeout or dine in at the restaurant.
At first I felt guilty of switching from the other guys (BB) to FB, but in this way I expanded my horizons. To think the limit of flavors I lived with before I discovered FB, I could never go back to the old ways. FB... You make the best Burritos from KW to GTA thanks to not excessively unhealthy fast food, because this has become my standard dinner if I cannot decide.
It should be noted that we ordered online through Doordash, so ordering ahead/pick up times may have had some effect. Ordered two Baked chicken Naked burritos, and an order of churro chips. The churro chips were really great and inexpensive. They were great to snack...on while we waited for a pizza to arrive because the naked burritos were truly terrible. The ingredients were not fresh, the whole thing was soggy and pre-mixed together, some ingredients were missing, and it looked nothing like the picture. I understand some inconsistencies with pictures, however the photo showed breaded, crispy chicken and what arrived was unbreaded, dry, and tasteless chicken in chunks.
This place was perhaps the best burritos place in Waterloo, before the new change in management. They still get the same ingredients from the same sources so some people won't be able to tell the difference, but the place became a lot more unsanitary than...before. Workers didn't change the gloves, no one was wearing hairnet and they cleaned the counter without putting back on the lid to cover the ingredients. I'm sure its easy to make a good food by copying someone else but its definitely NOT THE SAME as before. For all the new comers this won't be an issue.
