Vaquero’s Mexican Fast Food - Watauga

I’ve never been so ill in my life from food poisoning than I have due to the food from here. We received food via Uber Eats from here as a mistake. The driver mixed up the order. We were hungry and it was late so made the decision to just go with it. We received a lot of food, like enough to feed a family of 5 and had a little of everything that came with the order. We had never been here before and decided to try it out. The meat tasted off. But we don’t eat a lot of “fast food” so we chalked it up to that. We went to bed and I woke up in the middle of the night feeling like death. I had never had the pleasure of experiencing a cold sweat until this food got me so sick. I thought my appendix burst and we seriously contemplating going to the hospital. I do not recommend this food. It took us days to get over it. Don’t know if we just got a bad batch but seriously don’t recommend. For clarity, I have mostly their nachos.

Super nice fast but best of all the closest I had to my mom's chorizo and bean burrito. The chorizo is crispy and so delicious!!!!

SO GOOD! Friendly lady working the counter, very clean place, employees constantly cleaning up and restocking salsas. I happened upon this place when a hangover was hanging around too long, and none of the regular fast food sounded good enough. I saw the burritos advertised on their Google search result and went straight for it. Got the surf n turf burrito, it was everything I needed and more! And for those with sensory issues, it’s just rice, shrimp and steak! So so good, will be back next time I’m in this area!
