The Monocle - Washington, D.C.

Absolutely wonderful experience all around. Very recommended.

The monocle was as accommodating as I remember. There were some good tweets on the menu, but the original reliable selections remain strong as always. Service was excellent and as attentive and professional as always.

This is an old-fashioned (good) DC operation. Menu is limited, but well worked for us. Service was warm and professional, a welcome change from what you can get in more modern places. It was a double birthday for us and we got a very generous supplement dessert, although no one ordered dessert. It was calm, though it was a Friday night, maybe the patronage depends on what is happening in the house and senate, the immediate neighbors.

Beautiful old school restaurant with white fabric service. Great food and service.

The service and dinner along with the bread was very good. I thought it was a little pricey though.
