Bidra med feedbackThis was the Pret. Here, or maybe near, I became a Google explorer. I really like Pret as a company. They might even be an essential thread in the quilt of a modern, civil, city. I wish we had a few in Baltimore. Pret is also one of those places where employees are trained not to accept tips. No one should not to be able to accept a tip for excellent service. Now that the service industry has been turned upside down in DC by referendum, Pret should allow Laron, who who over filled my flat white and immediately made me a new one, to receive my gratitude for his excellent service. Thank you.
The bread is delicious, the lattes fine. However, staffs are not quite welcoming. And a little pricy.
Used to be a lot better but still great! Back in the day, the baristas would punch my card all the time and joke with me, sometimes even give me the coffee for free when I was visibly stressed out since I'm a nearby student (my school is around the corner). They don't do that anymore which is a shame, I definitely go less now and recommend it less now, but not terrible. Still good prices for coffee in the area
This place does a pretty good job of feeling authentic, even though it is a chain. Visiting in the morning, you'll find yourself tempted by the sweet, buttery smell of freshly-baked pastries wafting through the air. I get that they are in a hurry during rush times, but the lady who rang me up today was in too much of a rush to even look at us customers, and one second after the purchase, she was calling the next patron up. For beverages, I do like their cold-pressed raw juices, and they offer a variety of flavors, like carrot, beet, greens, etc.
What's not to love? Clean, well stocked, friendly staff, fast service.... It meets all of the Pret A Manger requirements.... It's in the financial district of town, (which also happens to have quite a few hotels) steps from the Metro. Quick-casual... Ready to eat... Pre-packaged, but good... Tried the Moroccan lentil soup today (comes with tasty petite baguette) and was in heaven. Vegan and vegetarian friendly options. And, won't break the bank to boot. Yes Yes... Do try!
