Bidra med feedbackHad my eye on this place for a while, glad I was finally able to make the trip. The food was immensely delicious. Had the pork belly shoulder for starters. My entree was the chicken curry, and wow was it packed with flavor. It was refreshing to try adifferent type of curry, it hit the spot. I also had a Laotian draft beer, which was super tasty. Would love to explore the menumore.
The decor, the service, the food, everything was amazing. I had the best fried rice I had ever had khua khao and the wok noodle was just as delicious. the server were extremely attentive and gave us great suggestions. the only part is that we are for delivery to us from the sortiment! many thanks for a great experience!
Good food. 3.5 stars because of everything else. a couple complaining: note: we were a large group of 8 and it took us to order a dae so that might have contributed to our moderate service when we were there, it was hot af. somehow miserable without c, which finally appeared at 7 or 8 o'clock when we were gone. the covers are really high, so it probably takes a lot of energy to cool. the service was dirty, probably because it was super busy and understated. hardly water was refilled, the dishes stacked. I couldn't even ask for the check. the availability of desserts was not known by all employees. we waited for the ice-cream to be told that they were outside, and they had to revise our bill. some of the foods were very sharp. need more notification! it made for an even sweating eating. we were asked by the employees how much longer we expected to be there when we had in the did on our server waiting to bring the review through the eating is good, I loved it when I came to lunch on weekday and service was standard. it wasn't very pleasant when we came on a Saturday night. will come back anyway!
I recently learned that the longer I've been in DC, the less home sick I feel until I come across restaurants as Laos In Town.. where I loved it so much that I went back twice in three days. On the first day, I tried their northern noodle almost like a laksa but less tumeric and coconut flavor... but just as freakn delicious. My only regret? I decided to try it on a hot ass day because I realized how much I was craving it the moment I saw it on the menu. My boyfriend got their chicken fried rice and he devoured it. DEVOURED IT. He loved it so much he kept saying he wished he ordered it to go for lunch. So as the great girlfriend that I am, I tricked him into going back two days later... I just didn't want to cook dinner. but no regrets here because everything was so good. Their grilled pork shoulder didn't have enough lemongrass imo but the flavor is there. I absolutely loved their laab moo and sticky rice. Again, got their chicken fried rice had to set the plate in front of me so my boyfriend would share some . Their grilled chicken with lettuce wrap was really refreshing and great on a hot day. So happy that we have a Laos restaurant to go to... can't wait to go again!
Food was quite good some dishes better than others. The crispy rockfish was both delicious had a great presentation. The crispy chicken rice was tasted great, but looked a bit underwhelming. The snakehead curry was nothing to write home about, but was tasty. The ground pork main dish was just marginally okay. Of the appetizers we ordered, the calamari was wonderfully different from the typical fried calamari. The chicken hearts were unique and tasty but beware the super hot accompanying sauce! it’s been a while since we’ve ordered wine, but a basic screw top bottle set us back 52 shockingly high.
