Bidra med feedbackStopped in tonight for the first time. As we looked at the menu and prices we thought oh boy we're gonna pay a lot for a little. To our surprise the portions were actually comparable to the prices and the food was delicious. We had BBQ pork nachos that were incredible. Chicken strips and fries which were delicious and plentiful. And brisket philly that was also very good. The BBQ sauces were ok but mixed together not bad. The service was really good considering they were short a waitress and the one they had had a full restaurant. We felt very attended to and she apologized for the delay which we didn't really notice one. We will be back. FoodFather Approved!
Stopped here for a Saturday breakfast with my wife. The aesthetic is industrial with some comfy booths as well. They are going for the southern feel not sure if they pull that off other than southern music playing.<br/ <br/ Staff was friendly and attentive gave off a happy vibe. Prices were reasonable given the portions. <br/ <br/ We had an omelette with potatoes and the French toast. We also tried a Pancrepe on the side. Everything was delicious, the Pancrepe was tremendous. Next time I would probably go with that. Portions were good my wife couldn't finish hers. <br/ <br/ Not a huge menu We will be back for breakfast!
The area around the Meadows casino is in dire need of more restaurants that are not just fast food. With the casino and the outlet mall have driven a ton of hotel developments and now some office spaces, I was wondering why there was no restaurant development. That is now changing. Primanti 's opened up a standalone location there, and now so did Buford 's Kitchen. It is located on the ground floor of an office building and occupies a corner which allows for some outdoor seating.<br <br The inside has a quasi industrial look to it with wood tables and metal chairs that are pretty close together. The establishment plays up the southern theme that supposedly infuses their food, but I could see no evidence of it in the actual food itself. Basically it 's a burger and sandwich shop with a few additional entrees, salads, and soups. The burgers are 'build your own ' so you can use the basic construction and add the toppings of your choice. Note that some of the toppings and sauces cost an extra dollar. The section called po 'boys was essentially a small selection of grinders submarine sandwiches (pick you favorite nomenclature).<br <br My companion and I ordered the stuffed Jalapeno appetizer to start off with. We were expecting to get the standard cheese filled and batter fried Jalapeno poppers. We were very surprised when the plate arrived with six half jalapenos laid out in a row, each stuffed with sausage and drizzled with a cream sauce that had some spice to it, topped with chopped tomatoes and scallions. It was very good!<br <br For our meals, we ordered one of the burgers and the Chicken Po 'Boy. While the menu promises that these get served with kettle chips, the waitress informed us that they do not have kettle chips but offer french fries instead. For a place that 's been open for about a month, that was an interesting twist! We chose to have one of our dishes come with regular fries, and the other with the sweet potato fries.<br <br Not too long afterwards, our food arrived. Instead of plates, we were given metal baskets that had paper towels placed in the bottom and the burger, or po 'boy on top. the fries were on the side. On the table were bottles of ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, two BBQ sauces and a shaker of Cajun seasoning. One of the BBQ bottles is labeled 'spicy ' but we could barely tell them apart. The overwhelming flavor of the BBQ sauces was sweetness.<br <br The Chicken Po 'boy was essentially a grilled chicken sub with the chicken chopped into chunks and then placed on a bed of shredded lettuce that is in a standard sub roll. Absolutely nothing special about it at all. The burger was on a brioche roll but was also nothing too exciting with the only thing that was of interest was our selection of toppings. The regular fries are the same as almost everywhere and so are the sweet potato fries. They must get these from the same purveyor that supplies many local restaurants.<br <br We were very underwhelmed by the whole experience especially after our positive initial impression with the Jalapenos! I know that I will not seek out this place in the future, but I will also not object if someone else has a burning desire to go there. It 's just average.
Stopped here on the way to the Tanger Outlets. I was STARVING because the stupid oil change took 3 hours instead of 1 (but that's a different review). Buford's was closing at 2, and it was 1:15 when I pulled in, but none of the staff seemed bothered. I had great service and the food was amazing. Exactly the kind of American breakfast I needed before a day of shopping. Highly recommend the breakfast bowl; this one was the biscuit bowl. And the **** mary was delish. Just wish it had a skewer of pickled things in it. Will definitely go back.
Our first time here, and we were not disappointed. Our server Blake was great and she kept our glasses full! Stop by Saturday and Sunday morning 9-11 for half off all boozy drinks. The fried green tomatoes are better than the movie! We are new to Washington, and have found our new go to spot!
