Bidra med feedbackIf you dare to eat here prepare to need to rush to the bathroom and I hope you took extra napkins with that chicken parm on a roll! The place used to have an italian family run it but the last few times I was there I didn 't see them. Yesterday I had chicken parm on a roll because I was so hungry I just stopped there in a hurry. Wow did I regret that poor decision! I was concerned upon entering this establishment, it had the feeling more of being in your neighbor 's living room more-so than a deli; cheap, plastic lawn chairs in front of a big screen TV with Judge Judy or some other inane show on that tells me they sit around watching TV instead of cleaning up as they wait for their next victim to wander in. The shelves are crowded with lots of stuff you wouldnt buy at a deli either, cases of Kraft salad dressing, etc. Its a junky vibe in there. It always bothered me that you cant watch them make your food here because theres so much garbage and debris piled on top of the deli counter you cant see over it. Its like they built the wall out of dollar store paraphernalia so only the Lord knows how they go about making your food. ....Nevertheless shortly after leaving there I should have thrown the sandwich away, it didnt taste right, but I ate it anyway even though there was my little voice telling me to stop eating it. I ate it anyway, the hungry side of me told me to eat and not listen to my small voice of reason. Well I live in Wappinger Falls and I was on my way to the train station in Beacon to pick up my wife. My stomach made some deep concerning gurgling sounds shortly after consuming my sandwich. About 30 minutes after that, we were on our way home and I started having stabbing pains in my belly. I started driving faster in desperation in vain to get home before things got worse. I had to pull over in a panic and run into a gas station and I had to walk with real short, quick steps inside and had to use the bathroom in the Mobile on 52 right before 84. Covered in perspiration, sitting on the bowl, my legs trembling and one hand clutching my belly thinking Im never going there again
It's an unpretentious deli just east of Route 9, near MD Imaging who recommended it. I'm glad they did. There's quite a menu, something for everyone. I ordered The Roma. Roast beef and melted provolone. It was very good. They must have a good reputation in the area; there were a lot of Picked up orders while I was in there. I'll be back next time in the area.
