Mr A's - Wandsworth

HOB is such a gem in Balham. We started visiting HOB for coffee and cocktails during lockdown, and we also ordered brunch via delivery several times which never disappointed. We recently had the chance to dine in for brunch a few weeks ago and the service was wonderful and the food unmatched. By far my favorite breakfast spot in Balham. We are sad to hear that HOB will be closed for two weeks during Lockdown 2, but we can't wait to go back as soon as they open!

Went with my son and granddaughtr for Bunch. Food was delicious. Good portions. Staff friendly and service was excellent

Surprised to see this place has a high rating. Maybe the Moroccan stuff they do is nice, can’t comment as I ordered the English breakfast and it was woeful. Perhaps I shouldn’t order the English breakfast in a place that doesn’t specialise in them, but if they offer it on the menu it should be of a far higher standard. Sausage undercooked, tinned mushrooms, just an all around very poor fry up. £26 for two of them with a coffee and an orange juice as well. Won’t be going back

We often stay in Balham, and discovered this place for a hearty breakfast only this year, the service was excellent and very friendly, the coffee was great and the food was excellent. The ambiance of the place was cosy and fun. We really loved the experience of eating here it was a real treat

Ordered a chicken tagine via Deliveroo. What I received was dry cous cous, bland vegetables and 2 tiny malnourished chicken legs. Called the restaurant to find out what happened and give them the benefit of the doubt, but apparently this is a normal portion . Funny how it was completely different to what I 've ordered in the past. This use to be a nice place, not sure why it 's gone downhill lately. Embarrassing.
