The family of 3 ordered and when we went to collect the meals, I took two tellers back to the table. When I returned to the 3rd, I was advised that they gave me the wrong steak and asked me to put it back in the pass. Yes, we all make mistakes, took it back and they beat another steak on the teller. then I have the third meal that was intended to be drawn to black tacos, but was afteros. ahh, we ran out of tacos bowls. I don't think these young people could organize a pess-up in a brewery.
Ordered a special fried rice, the king prawnte with sweet and noodles. reis was bland, no taste at all. the king prawn nudel had a saulty suppe with some salate and garnel. will never be ordered again.
The food was pretty tasty, and the service time was reasonable for a Sunday lunchtime. The menu prices are also reasonable because the serving sizes were quite large. They even gave us take away containers for our leftovers which was really great. Our group enjoyed the food enough to go back and have it again.
Wanted to order a delivery from Lucky Magpies. The regular delivery company did not list the full menu so googled for another delivery company that serviced the restaurant. Came up with a site called Ritual Food under orderfood.google.com/. Placed an order and waited. No delivery. Called the club who checked with the restaurant, but there was some confusion as to whether Ritual Food operated there! After another call I was eventually advised the order had been picked up. It never turned up. My credit card was charged both by Google and by Ritual Food. There was no contact number for either ritual food or orderfood.google to make further inquiries. Looking at the ritual food site showed it was a company that only accepted orders for pick up – yet the orderfood.google site clearly showed delivery options. I’m down $52 and food. But a big thank-you to the club manager who tried to help me sort the problem out.Moral: Lucky Magpies needs to get its act together about consistency of its delivery menu and which organisations it operates with. I’ll be very wary of ordering delivery again. And NEVER DEAL with Ritual Food (ritual.co) or orderfood.google.com.Postscript: Sometime after posting this I was heading out for some shopping. Backing up the driveway I noticed a plastic bag on the top of the gatepost. It contained the missing dinner from the previous night! So the restaurant had received and processed the order which is good. I’ve had a number of good experiences with this restaurant and was pleased to see they had handled the order. It was just the delivery that failed. Never in the many years of receiving deliveries has an order ever been left at the top of the driveway out of site of the front door! All other deliveries have had the courtesy to come to the front door and knock/ring before leaving the order. Just confirms my view of the incompetency of Ritual Food.
