Bidra med feedbackI spent over $40 on a set of four variety cakes, which featured four different slices on one round cake. It looked absolutely delicious and beautiful. However, I was very disappointed with the quality this time around. The cakes were dry and didn’t have the same flavor as I had enjoyed a few months prior. The mango cream slice lacked enough mango, the ube slice was excessively sweet with little ube flavor, and both chocolate slices were overly sweet and didn’t taste like Black Forest cake or tiramisu. I bought these cakes to celebrate the birthdays of three different people, and I really regret not choosing another place, as I had hoped for consistent quality. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case this time.
This bakery is a beloved establishment in any Asian or Filipino community! We always look forward to their delicious cakes and unique flavors, such as ube and yema. However, be prepared, as the prices are on the higher side—an average round cake costs around $40. They also offer smaller roll cakes in various flavors, including chocolate. My personal favorite is the Choco Mocha Crunch; it's incredibly moist with just the right amount of sweetness from the toppings. The best part is that the cakes are readily available—no need for preordering. Plus, the service is excellent! They take the time to ask about your occasion and will provide a free cake topper and candle. Overall, this is a fantastic spot to pick up a cake!
While the cakes are decent, the prices have risen significantly. I tried calling the bakery seven times without any response, letting the phone ring for at least five minutes each time. I called in the early morning, afternoon, and early evening, but there was no answer. The message mentioned that I could order online, but when I attempted to do so, only one cake was available for purchase. I even tried changing the date, but still, only one cake showed up. I became frustrated and drove straight to the bakery after my work shift. When I arrived, an employee apologized for not answering the phone, saying it had been busy earlier that day. Busy enough that she couldn't answer any of my seven calls? I find that hard to believe. It seemed like the phone might have been on silent, as I tried calling again while I was there. There was only one customer ahead of me and no one else in line after me, so I asked why I wasn't able to reach anyone and why online ordering was so limited. If it weren't for my son wanting his birthday cake from this bakery, I would never have placed an order here. Their service is absolutely terrible!
I order a yema cake but we notice the best before date that already expired 2 weeks ago and they just sticking a new date on it ! Three different dates till you buy it or change it again .So be careful .
Lady was helping somebody over the phone so it took a little while, and without recognizing our wait she go ahead and asked what we want and I said two cheesy ensaymada and then she asked two bag? and so I didn 't know what she meant by two bags so I said Yes cause the single ensaymada is wrapped in a plastic bag. And then to my surprise she was already charging for two PACKS and by pack means 6 was inside a bag. So I made it clear that I only want two pieces and she then said I asked you madam with an annoyed face like she couldn 't just be nicer and make it clear first before charging which should have been part of her job but unfortunately she 'd rather be rude. Anyways the baked goods is really good and I hope they build a location in town so I dont have to drive all the way to Waipahu just to experience the same kind of service.
