Laverne's Lunch Wagon Catering

Laverne?s is one of a handful of my top favorite lunch Wagons and definitely my top spot for a smoked meat plate. I always get this when we decide to leave here. Meaty smokey goodness with onions really hits the place for satisfaction that smoke taste desire! Delicious!!! I like mine with all white rice, but usually it comes with two cups of white rice and Mac/Tosed salad. I've been told that the **** bomb was good here too. So when you come to Waikele, check them and support our local companies!! Update: My Smoked Meat Plate with all white rice is still delicious and the man tried beef stew and really enjoyed it too. Thickness and hearty tasteful sauce with lots of crispy vegetables and meat. 10/30/2022 My mother enjoyed the Kalua Pig Cabbage Plate. She said it was soft to chew. Chicken long rice had a nice mild taste with a ginger aroma as well. My husband first tried the Roast Pork plate and said meat was tender and Gravy was tasteful.

We were stolen to eat here. We ordered number 1 and the Mahi butter garlic. We traveled all over the world (My wife and I). We enjoyed the food here very much. It reminded me of Baja Mahi and she got the chicken, pork and green squid bowl (I can't remember the name), but it was number 1 in the combined table area on the menu. What a surprise of taste, love and kindness of this ingenious food. We love local food and this place leads our list of places to experience in the world. (Our country list includes Bahamas, Canada, Mexico, Australia, USA, Honduras, UK, Germany and France)! Go to Lavern?s and eat something! People are friendly and the food was full and tasteful! You won't be dissatisfied.

Fantastic food! I'll come here a few times a month. I grew up cooking and eating traditional Hawaiian cuisine in an imu. This is the next one you'll find on Oahu. Kalua pig, Squid luau, chicken long rice, Lomi salmon and Haupia are on point!

We ordered Laverne catering for a meeting and can say good enough about her. The food was ready to pick up on time and was a big hit at all at the event. Portions were very generous, we even had enough left that most people were able to take a few home. The Kalua pig is phenomenal, very delicate. If you want to support a large local provider in planning your next event, Laverne is the place!

So so good! I had no idea what chicken long rice was before ordering and was disappointed upon opening the container but I'm SUPER glad! It's sooo good! The noodles taste like a high quality chicken noodle soup somehow. Fun to eat too! Not a weird texture. The kalua pork was really good too and not fatty, tons of it too. Mac and rice were good but nothing crazy. Will definitely be back and get the same thing! Definitely try the chicken long rice you won't be disappointed. Great portion for the price too! They do take card but it's an extra and some other trucks here don't so bring cash!
