Twice Upon A Bagel - WAINSCOTT

This place is a rip-off. Everything is insanely overpriced for low quality food and rude service. Will not be back.

Awesome deli, kind staff and lots of healthy options. Cool spot, will be back whenever in town again.

Picked up bagels from this location twice over a weekend stay in the area. While it isn't the cleanest place the bagels are fresh with a selection of types flavors. The help ranges from helpful to move em out quickly. The prepared salads were a mixed bag. Tried the chicken salad for a lunch bagel (okay); ate there. Second visit, picked up bagels for breakfast brunch. Kids loved the everything bagels.

THE OWNER OVERCHARGES YOU!!!! I went three times this weekend because it was the only breakfast place around. The Sunday interaction towards the end clearly demonstrates the owner is ripping you off. Here 's the story and exact numbers: Friday: I racked up a $16.85 bill for what seemed like it should 've been about $13 at most. Seemed strange. Saturday: The scribbled receipt to give to the cashier totaled to $14 but he charged me $17.70 including tax . Didn 't make sense but I let it slide again and made note of it. Sunday Today : I ordered a bagel egg+cheese and a coffee. The board said the price was $6.85. I showed the same male cashier I believe he 's the owner my ticket and asked for the coffee. He quickly punched in something and asked for $9.20. I told him it was $6.85 pre-tax and pointed to the board. He then said oh, typed in something, and asked for $8.10. Now, $8.10 is is clearly impossible because then it would imply an 18 tax rate no, it 's not, it 's 8.625 . Not to mention these totals are all round numbers. To top it off he wouldn 't take my credit card $10 minimum , and repeated Eight Dollars and Ten Cents. Thanks, Chief, I understand English. So, there 's my evidence that he 's skimming 5-10+ from every customer. He overcharges you right under your nose because he creates a sense of urgency and rushes you through the line. He successfully ripped me off all three days, and even again when I told him he charged me too much. Today, rather than make a scene over less than a dollar, I wrote this. THE OWNER IS STEALING FROM YOU. Where I come from, stealing is illegal.

Easily the worst bagel place. The owner is so obnoxious and the price of a bagel and two drinks is out of control. A water bottle is over 3 dollars and I'm not talking about the huge water bottles. I got a bagel with tuna, an iced coffee, and water bottle for 20 dollars. I questioned the price to the owner and he did not want to even help me understand and then when he did, the price did not even add up!! And the tuna was so old! I had to throw out the bagel because they wouldn't take it back. The bagel had mold on the side as well. If you want a moldy bagel and tuna that is a week old...oh and 15 dollars then come here.
